Mathias Widmaier is presenting work on carbon reference electrodes at the 231st ECS  Meeting (The Electrochemical Society) in New Orleans, USA. His talk is entitled: “Activated carbon based quasi-reference electrodes for unconventional lithium-salt containing organic electrolytes”.

Collaborator Bastian Etzold from the TU Darmstadt is presenting joint work with us at the meeting for reaction engineering (Reaktionstechnik 2017) in Würzburg. His talk is entitled: “Reaction engineering as basis for the synthesis of carbonaceous core-shell materials for energy storage applications”.

New paper published in Journal of Power Sources. Our team has investigated novolac derived nanoporous carbon as conductive support for lithium sulfur batteries. This work was in cooperation with the Group of Oskar Paris (Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria) and Lars Borchardt (Technische Universität Dresden, Germany).
